Course Aims

To provide delegates with the necessary skills and working knowledge of high-pressure water jetting, covering a range of safety features that include risk assessment and use of PPE, pre-work checks, and the identification of hazards. Whilst also teaching delegates to safely carry out surface preparation in accordance with the High-Pressure Water Jetting AssociationΓÇÖs (HPWJA) code of practice. 
 
The course will assist in compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASWA 74).

Certification

On successful completion of this course, a City and Guilds accredited Certificate of Training and a Photo ID Card will be issued by the Water Jetting Association. It is recommended that the Water Jetting Safety Awareness course be retaken every 3 years.


All certification is subject to the City & Guilds quality assurance procedure.

Who Should Attend

Anyone who is required to operate high-pressure water jetting equipment in the course of their work. 
 
To be eligible to attend this course, you must have certificated high-pressure jetting equipment that is fit for purpose. High-visibility waistcoat, overalls, gloves, hard hat, safety footwear, waterproofs, hearing, and eye protection are also required for this training course.
