Course Aims

The course will look at key areas such as fire hazards and the principles of fire risk assessments, control measures prior to and during hot work and additional risk associated with this type of maintenance work.

This course aims to give Tesco employees an understanding of the following: 

  • How to work in accordance with safe system of work including Risk Assessment, Safety Method Statement and Permit to Work
  • Fire safety requirements associated with hot works and fire prevention
  • How to mitigate the risk from fire when carrying out hot work during maintenance

If you plan to book both Tesco Hot Work and Abrasive Wheels training, please ensure they are scheduled on the same course date and booked in a single transaction through this portal. This will allow you to complete both certifications in one full day away from work. 

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a HSS Training certificate of attendance.
