Assured by the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), the Suicide First Aid Lite - Awareness of Suicide Prevention course equips delegates with the confidence and practical skills to recognise and respond to suicide risk.
Delivered by the National Centre for Suicide Prevention, Education & Training, the session includes group discussions, interactive exercises, breakout rooms, skills practice and video-based learning.

Key areas covered:
Recognition & Prevention: Focusing on workplace wellbeing, delegates will learn how to identify signs of distress and guide individuals to appropriate support. The course also explores how to promote a culture where mental health and suicide prevention are embedded in workplace, health, safety and wellbeing policies.
Intervention: How to respond when someone shows signs of distress, knowing what to say, how to listen without judgement, creating a safe space and helping them access the right support.
Postvention: Working together on a postvention strategy to support individuals and their teams impacted by suicide in the workplace, focusing on compassionate communication, maintaining confidentiality and creating a space for grief and healing.
