By the end of the course the delegates will:

  • Have a detailed knowledge of all the Hazards associated with pressure washing
  • Understand the principles of the more commonly used items of pressure washer equipment and systems
  • Have a clear understanding of the special needs for maintenance, inspection and testing of pressure washing equipment on a regular basis
  • Understand the potential hazards of incorrect assembly or other misuse of water jetting hoses, guns, lances and nozzles
  • Have a detailed knowledge of the nature of water jetting injuries and the action to be taken in the event of an accident
  • Understand the requirements for PPE and its limitations
  • Understand the safety procedure necessary for pressure washing operations

 

Course Aims

To provide delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate a pressure washer.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a City & Guilds certificate valid for 3 years.

Who Should Attend

This course is essential for personnel who are using pressure washer as part of their daily work, including:

  • New or inexperienced operators of pressure washing equipment
  • Experienced operators who have no formal training
  • Experienced operators who have not attended a course in the last 3 years
  • Supervisors, safety officers, managers or any person who has responsibility for or duties involving any aspect of pressure washing
  • Operatives who use pressure washers for low risk activates such as degreasing/cleaning equipment & structures, floor cleaning

Delegates must provide full name, date of birth and their National Insurance Number.

Pre-requisites

Certificated pressure jetting equipment that is fit for purpose. High Visibility clothing, safety footwear, waterproofs, hearing and face protection are required for this training course.
