Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of the requirements needed to work on flat roofs in protected and unprotected areas and to work safely in a variety of exposed locations.

During this course, delegates will look at the necessary legislation need when working at height, the hazards and control measures necessary for working at height, applicable work restraints and how to carry out the necessary risk assessments.

The course will involve elements of classroom and practical tuition.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a Arqiva approved certificate.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at delegates who intend to access rooftops, or similar structures using preinstalled fall arrest systems and use work restraint techniques to carry out work at height.

Course Entry Criteria
All delegates must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height. (A list of conditions that could affect practical training and work at height are available on request)
