Radio Frequency Awareness

Theory course on awareness of Radio Frequency and its effects for those working at height on buildings, masts or towers.

Agenda

This course covers: 
  • How electromagnetic fields are generated 
  • Potential effects of over exposure on the body 
  • Sources of electromagnetic fields 
  • The requirements of EMF directive 
  • Overview of monitors and dosimeter 
  • National register of RF workers 

Equipment covered during training:
  • Samples of personal monitors

Course Aims

This theory based course aims to enable delegates to have an understanding of: 

  • The hazards associated with working near radio frequencies and recognising restricted areas 
  • Reducing and preventing exposure of electromagnetic radiation and potential side effects on the body 
  • Monitoring and measuring equipment 

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a digital certificate of attendance valid for 3 years. Paper certificate and photo ID card can be requested at an additional charge.
