Theory and practical training in the safe use and operation of Plasma Cutters for experienced operators.

This course will cover the following topics:
  • How the plasma cutting process works
  • Commonly used applications
  • Features and benefits
  • Limitations of the process.
  • Health and safety issues for the operator
  • PPE required for operators
  • Health and safety considerations for the working environment
  • Typically used machines, power supplies and compressed air supplies required
  • Torch consumables required and operation pointers

Practical Training in the workshop
  • Setting up the machine
  • Changing torch consumables
  • Hands on use and best practice techniques for cutting
  • Using templates and circle cutting tools

Course Aims

This course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills to safely use a plasma cutter and understand the features and benefits of the process.

Certification

Delegates will receive copy of the course notes and certificate of attendance. 

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at delegates who have prior knowledge and experience working with a plasma cutter and who are able to operate the equipment safely. Delegates will be required to have prior knowledge of the processes used when working with Plasma Cutters.
