MATS Tower Climbing & Rescue

3-day course to give knowledge and understanding of practical skills used to ensure safety while climbing towers & masts

  • Use of and rescue from harnesses & fall arrest lanyards
  • Use of knots and ropes

  • Selecting appropriate anchor points
  • Using a work positioning system
  • Using fixed fall arrest system
  • Recovering a casualty
  • Managing suspension intolerance
  • Suspension trauma

Course Aims

This course covers the theoretical and practical training involved with the requirements of working on towers and masts, and rescue training using fall arrest equipment. Delegates will be compliant with training standards set by MATS and approved by EUSR.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a digital certificate of attendance valid for 3 years. Paper certificate and photo ID card can be requested at an additional charge.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at delegates who are new to working at height and require training on use of personal fall protection equipment.
