To provide delegates with the knowledge required to carry out Authorised Person duties and responsibilities in order to achieve compliance with Safety Rules and Procedures designed to meet the requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

The Authorised Person Electrical Low Voltage course is based on the content of HSG 85 Electricity at Work Safe Working Practices. Documentation exercises can be industry specific in order to meet delegates' needs and JSP 375 Volume 3 Chapter 3 is offered along with company specific Safety Rules and Procedures if required.

Delegates who demonstrate a high level of competence in the course assessments will be awarded the City and Guilds Frontline Skills Framework Utilities 5831 scheme unit 915 - Authorised Person Low Voltage certificate.

This course is for experienced engineering staff with responsibility for the control, operation or maintenance of installed Low Voltage systems and who may be appointed as Authorised Person (Electrical Low Voltage).
