Assessment

City & Guilds 6187-21 written assessment and practical assessment.

Course Aims

Pre-requisites

Delegates must hold the City & Guilds 2079-11 F-Gas & ODS Regulations (Category I) qualification or equivalent prior to attending this course and have experience working with refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

 

Delegates must be over the age of 16.

 

Aims

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will understand the specific health and safety requirements that apply to the installation, servicing, maintenance, and decommissioning of hydrocarbon RAC systems.

Delegates will understand the differences between halocarbon and hydrocarbon RAC systems and the procedures for planning and preparing for work on hydrocarbon RAC systems, including site procedures, storage, handling, and transportation.


Certification

On successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Hydrocarbon Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, and Heat Pump System Installation, Servicing, and Maintenance certificate.

Due to the internal quality assurance process, as stipulated by City and Guilds, which must be conducted for the paperwork on all courses, certification for this qualification can take up to 3 months at our busiest times. We always aim to provide certificates as quickly as possible. Who Should Attend

Ideal for anyone working, or wishing to work, in the installation and maintenance of refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump systems containing hydrocarbons and flammable refrigerants. 

This will suit you if you are working in installing and maintaining refrigeration, air-conditioning, and heat pump systems and have some relevant knowledge and skills, usually from a role where you've been supervised.
