Ladders and Stepladders for Managers - Ladder Association

Ladder theory course covering the responsibilities of overseeing the work of operatives on site regarding Ladders, Stepladders and Step Stools.

Agenda

Delegates will:

  • Learn about current legislation, regulations and guidance affecting work at height using Ladders, Stepladders and Step Stools
  • Understand that they must resource work so it may be completed safely and efficiently
  • Learn the difference between pre-use and formal inspections
  • Understand the difference between maintenance, repairs and who is allowed to carry these out
  • Learn the correct methods of disposal of equipment

Ladder Association theory assessments are now ΓÇÿopen bookΓÇÖ allowing delegates to refer to electronic or printed course materials as well as their own notes during their assessment.

Course Aims

To provide delegates with knowledge and skills that will allow them to ensure work is properly planned and organised, and that those involved in carrying out the work are competent and properly trained.

Ladder Association courses are recognised by The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) as the leading safety training when working with Ladders. The Ladders and Stepladders for Managers course is also available through Remote Learning, where delegates can complete training and gain their certification via Virtual Classrooms.

Virtual Classroom training has been created to allow delegates to gain and develop the required knowledge outside of the classroom - connecting live with a HSS Trainer through a webcam.

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will receive a Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard.
