To provide delegates with knowledge and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of working at heights using rope access.

The Level 2 course covers a wide range of technical rigging methods and a variety of rescue skills. There is a greater emphasis on theory and knowledge although the course remains mostly practical.

Delegates successfully completing an IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Technician course will receive an IRATA certificate valid for 3 years.

More experienced Rope Access Technicians who hold current Level 1 certification and have a minimum of 1,000 logged hours over a 12 month period.  Passing your Level 2 can lead to enhanced employment opportunities as you will be considered a more advanced technician.

• Must be holder of IRATA Level 1 certificate with 1,000 hours logged as a Level 1 over a 12 month period
• All delegates must be able to certify that they are physically fit and have no medical conditions that might prevent them working at height (a list of conditions that could affect practical training and work at height are available on request)
• SpanSet reserves the right to exclude unsuitable delegates from training courses
• Delegates must be 18 years or over
