IRATA Level 1 - Rope Access Technician

Entry level course for those who wish to work with equipment on structures using rope access techniques.

  • Legislation, hazards and risk assessments
  • Safe systems of working
  • Rescue and emergency techniques
  • Basic rope access
  • Inspection, maintenance and documentation of equipment
  • Inspection, fitting, function of personal equipment
  • Using appropriate knots, rope manouvres and transfers, safe rigging and anchor selection
  • Safely descending & ascending a twin rope system

Course Aims

This entry level course is suitable for persons who have no current experience in working with rope access. Delegates will complete theoretical and practical training to ensure that they are competent in safely inspecting and using equipment and performing rescue techniques on a variety of structures across all industries.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing an IRATA Level 1 Industrial Rope Access course will receive an IRATA certificate valid for 3 years.
