Inspection of Personal Fall Protective Equipment and Record Keeping

This training will provide knowledge on how to properly inspect safety harnesses and lanyards.

Agenda

This course involves both theory and practical elements.

Theory
  • Rules & Regulations surrounding Work at Height and PPE
  • Insight into design, development & manufacturing processes
  • Equipment marking, traceability & registering
  • Thorough examination and inspection of equipment procedures
  • Identifying and diagnosing faults & defects
  • Inspection record production, including documentation and declaration of conformity
  • Quarantine & disposal procedures

Practical
  • Hands-on inspection of various equipment

Course Aims

This 1 day training aims to give delegates a broad understanding to be able to inspect and manage personal fall protection equipment. This will include an insight into the processes behind the design and production of the equipment alongside practical tasks conducting inspection and testing of faulty equipment. The course will ensure that the delegate has the knowledge to comply with current HSE legislation.

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, delegates will receive an E-Certificate valid for 3 years.
