EAL Level 3, Design, Install and Commission electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS)

This course will equip delegates with the fundemental knowledge, understanding and practical skills involved in the design, installation and commissioning of electrical energy storage systems.<br>

Agenda

┬╖        The Course will run for 3 ┬╜ days.
┬╖        Three days classroom based and half a day for the practical assessment.
┬╖        Understand the statutory legislations applicable to EESS.
┬╖        Understand the principles of batteries and EESS.
┬╖        Understand the specification and design of EESS.
┬╖        Understand the requirements for installation, inspection and testing, commissioning, and handover of EESS.

Course Aims

The aim of this of this course is designed to equip delegates with the fundamental knowledge, understanding and practical skills involved in the design, installation and commissioning of electrical energy storage systems in a domestic dwelling.

Certification

Upon the successful completion of the course delegates will receive a EAL Level 3 Design, Install and Commission of Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) Accredited Programme Certificate.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed for delegates who are practising electricians who wish to move into the design, installation & commission of electrical storage systems (EESS).

Delegates completing this course must have a good knowledge of the latest edition of BS7671, of inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. Delegates are also required to sign a statement of competence before completion of the course.

It has a range of relevant outcomes covering statutory legislation applicable to EESS, the principles of batteries and EESS, how to specify and design an EESS, installation, inspection and testing, and handover of an EESS.  

This course is recognised by MCS. MCS create and maintain standards that allows for the certification of products, installers and their installations.  MCS certifies low-carbon products and installations used to produce electricity and heat from renewable sources.  MCS is a mark of quality. Membership of MCS demonstrates adherence to these recognised industry standards: highlighting quality, competency and compliance.


Learners MUST be at least 18 years old.

Delegates must hold one of the following entry requirements to be eligible for this course:


┬╖        Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the Environment)
┬╖        Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
┬╖        Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification 
┬╖        Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services Experienced Worker
┬╖        Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services
┬╖        Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification. 
┬╖        Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
┬╖        Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification 
┬╖        EAL Building Services Engineering (Level 3) - Electrotechnical Installation
┬╖        Equivalent historical qualifications. See EAS Table 4B/4C, and the EAS Qualifications Guide

┬╖        ECS Gold Card for a Domestic Electrician, JIB Electrician, or Approved Electrician Card.
