Driver CPC - Vehicle Roadworthiness, and Transport and Site Safety - Remote Learning

This course is designed to emphasise the importance of assessing the drivers vehicle, keeping it safe on the road.<br>

Agenda

This course contains two modules and includes the following topics:

 Vehicle Roadworthiness:

  • Why vehicle checks have to be completed
  • What checks are required
  • How to properly complete the walkaround check
  • Vehicle defect reporting
  • Consequences of non-compliance
  • Personal health checks

 Transport and Site Safety:

  • Loading bay safety
  • Vehicle checks
  • Fitness to drive
  • General on-site safety issues

Course Aims

This course is split into two modules Vehicle Roadworthiness and Transport and Site Safety.

The ΓÇÿVehicle RoadworthinessΓÇÖ module highlights the importance of regularly assessing a driver's vehicle. This training refreshes delegates' knowledge on essential walk-around checks, explaining why they are crucial and what specific areas should be inspected. Additionally, delegates will learn about the significance of personal health awareness checks to ensure their safety while on the road.

The ΓÇÿTransport and Site SafetyΓÇÖ module covers the health and safety responsibilities drivers must be aware of in the workplace, specifically in relation to transport and site safety. This course is designed to enhance driver safety and is closely aligned with on-site safety training to ensure a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols.


Certification

Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be presented with a printable certificate of competence that will last 5 years. To obtain your Driver Qualification Card (DQC) you must complete 35 hours worth of driver CPC modules.


Once you have completed all 35 hours of CPC modules, DVLA will issue your card automatically.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at those looking to obtain their Driver Qualification Card (DQC). This course will count 7 hours towards your mandatory 35 learning hours that you require for the DQC. This course is suitable for those who hold either a HGV or PCV license.
