  This section introduces the DSEAR regulations, lists examples of dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres, and lists the key duties placed on employers and employees

• Identifying and Assessing the Risks
  This section of the course provides guidance for recognising risks associated with various substances, the importance of being aware of ignition sources. And the key factors of anticipating the effect and harm

• Eliminating or Controlling the Risks
  In this final section youΓÇÖll cover implementing control measures to substitute or eliminate hazards, the different hazardous area classifications zones and also examples of emergency arrangements

 

At the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• Recognise what constitutes a dangerous substance and an explosive atmosphere
• Identify your own and your employerΓÇÖs duties and responsibilities under DSEAR
• Recognise the risks associated with dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres
• Identify ways of reducing the risks
• Take appropriate action to maintain safety
• Put adequate plans in place to deal with accidents, incidents and emergencies
