Course Aims

To provide delegates with an awareness and understanding of the legal requirements for working with hazardous substances; and the importance of the safe use and storage of hazardous substances in the workplace to reduce the risk to themselves and others.

This course introduces delegates to the inherent risks posed by hazardous substances and biological agents (biohazards) and the controls available to assist them in the safer use of hazardous substances in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive City & Guilds certification in COSHH & Biohazards (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for those who use hazardous substances and who may encounter sharps and/or biohazards during their daily work activities in e.g. manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities and offices and those who manage, supervise or are directly responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) in the workplace.
