DAY 2 - Quarries

• High risk tasks involved with operations

  • Identifying high risk tasks and methods of control
• High risk tasks involved with mobile plant

  • Prevention of fall
• Maintenance high risk operations

To provide delegates with basic health and safety information from the Core Day programme and builds on this, identifying high risk tasks and their control found within the Mineral Extraction and Products Industry.

Delegates will be informed of the implications of personal injury, cost to the business and job security.

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a SPA Safety Passport photo ID card which is valid for three years.

It is widely recognised as the minimum health and safety requirement for people working in a quarry environment and is designed to raise awareness of potential hazards and highlight good health and safety practices.
