Course Aims

The Controller of Site Safety (recert) course acts as a refresher to train staff to correctly determine their responsibilities and duties when acting as a Controller of Site Safety (COSS) when setting up a safe system of work on or near the line.

 

Only an authorised Sentinel co-ordinator may make bookings on this course.

Certification

All course results will be notified to the Rail Sentinel database and the Sentinel Smart Card of the individual will be updated.


Training provided by Intertrain (RTAS 0460)

Who Should Attend

The Controller of Site Safety (recert) course would benefit experienced individuals who need to implement a safe system of work to enable activities to be carried out by a group of persons in a red or green zone.

Attendance Requirements


Delegates must be at least 18 Years of age and have sponsorship by a Link-up approved organisation with an NCCA Site I.D, a valid Network Rail approved medical certificate, negative alcohol and drugs screening certificate, and a valid PTS certificate.

** failure to provide the mandatory requirements above means you cannot attend this course **

The E-Learning assessment can be accessed on the Network Rail E-Learning system.

On successful completion of the E-Learning, the certificate should be printed and brought with the delegate on the day of the course.
