Course Aims

This course provides delegates with the Knowledge and understanding of the dangers and associated safety requirements in High Voltage Substations and Switch rooms. The course is designed as a safe entry programme and is beneficial to delegates who need to enter high voltage substations or switch rooms as part of their job role.

This course aims to give delegates the knowledge and skills needed to work safely within a high voltage environment. The courses focuses on electrical hazards, different types of HV equipment and the precautions you should take to prevent danger to both yourself and others.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing this course will receive a City and Guilds accredited certificate.

Who Should Attend

Delegates attending this course do not have to have any prior experience however this course is best suited to those delegates who enter high voltage substations or switch rooms as part of their duties.

The course is designed for delegates who will not directly interact with high voltage equipment and is a safe entry programme.

A basic understanding of electricity and high voltage equipment is beneficial, but not essential.

Anyone attending training should also have a good level of both spoken and written English.
