Course Aims

This course provides delegates with the knowledge and skills to perform cable spiking ensuring that cables are not carrying dangerous electrical currents despite being isolated. This course teaches delegates effect methods for performing cable spiking and the principles behind this. Cable spiking drives a sharp spike directly through the cable, severing the connection and ensuring that the flow of electricity is broken before essential work can be completed.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing this course will receive a City and Guilds accredited certificate.

Who Should Attend

Delegates attending this course should be an electrical engineer or technician with prior electrical experience, ideally in the use and operation of high voltage systems, power systems and their associated cables.
TRAnyone attending training should also have a good level of both spoken and written English.
