This course aims to provide skills and knowledge for those working as an Authorised Person. <br>

  • HV distribution systems, equipment, switchgear and protective devices
  • HV sub-station equipment, its operation and maintenance
  • Explanation of distribution systems (low voltage)
  • Roles and responsibilities as a AP
  • Safety documentation through practical application
  • Protective devices and their use
  • Overview of procedures (HSG 85/company safety rules)
  • Safe operation and isolation of high voltage systems

Course Aims

This course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge required to carry out Authorised Person duties and responsibilities. It looks to provide delegates with an understanding of how to remain compliant with Electricity at Regulations (1989).

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a City and Guilds certificate highlighting that they have met the assessments.

Who Should Attend

This course is aimed at industry experienced delegates who have background knowledge or experience working within an electrical role. This course is best suited for delegateΓÇÖs who are responsible for the control, maintenance and operation of high voltage equipment. This course may also be used as an Authorised Person refresher course for the commercial sector.
