Authorised Person: Mechanical Systems (Boiler and Pressure Systems)

Course providing knowledge and understanding of safe working procedures on mechanical systems including boiler and pressure systems.

Agenda

  • Safe working procedures on pressure systems as required by the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000, Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and Safety Rules and Procedures for Work on Pressure Systems.
  • Requirements of statutory regulation/legislation.
  • Operational Appointments, Roles and Duties of Appointed Personnel.
  • Risk Assessment.
  • Creating, documenting and enforcing safe working procedures.

Course Aims

The aim of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding to ensure essential safe working procedures on mechanical systems. Delegates will learn safe working procedures on pressure systems as required by the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000, Provision and use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and Safety Rules and Procedures for Work on Pressure Systems.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a certificate of attendance which will be provided.

This course is aimed at delegates who are able to demonstrate an appropriate level of experience of mechanical systems and mechanical principles and theories. This course is best suited to those delegates who have been nominated for appointment as authorising engineer or authorised person mechanical.
