Training providing the skills and knowledge to undertake the role of Authorised Person and understand their responsibilities in order to achieve compliance.

  • Understanding safety regulations relating to HV
  • Procedures defined by HTM 09-03
  • HV distribution systems, equipment, switchgear and protective devices
  • Isolation of standby equipment/power supplies
  • Roles and responsibilities as a AP
  • Safety documentation through practical application


Course Aims

This course aims to provide delegates with the knowledge required to carry out Authorised Person duties and responsibilities in order to achieve compliance with:

  • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
  • HTM 06-03
  • Current HSE Legislation
This aims to help delegates implement mandatory standards or company safety rules.

Certification

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive a City and Guilds certificate highlighting that they have met the assessments.

This course is aimed at industry experienced delegates who have background knowledge or experience working within an electrical role. This course is best suited for delegateΓÇÖs who are responsible for the control, maintenance and operation of high voltage equipment.
